Uskon asialla – In the Matter of Faith

Spring nature awakens around us. Buds open on the trees, and flowers rise from the ground that have been sown there as seeds.

When we admire nature, we see and experience God’s goodness around us. Jesus compared the kingdom of God to a grain that grows by itself and a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all the seeds in the garden, but when it grows, it is the largest tree of all.

Today, there is much talk about what empowers a person and what deprives strength. There is as much advice as there are people. Some need more retreat and their own time. For others, numerous relationships are the elixir of life. Some read a lot, others enjoy gardening, and others do crafts and renovate the house.

It is important to find and implement those things that nourish and refresh you and avoid those that eat you up.

Spring includes the joy of Easter, the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection. It is preceded by Good Friday and Jesus’ death on the cross. Without suffering and death, there was no resurrection.

The Christian church is not just any community or country club, but was founded by Jesus Christ. He commissioned his followers to share the good news—the gospel—with all nations.

The core message of the church is precisely in Easter. Jesus defeated the power of sin and death by rising from the dead. Faith in the resurrected Jesus is also the key to the joy of heaven and eternal life when this life on earth is once completed.

Blessed Easter time! Pastor Timo
